Former President Bill Clinton presented the mother of a fallen San Antonio Marine with a Purple Heart on Monday night in Little Rock, Ark.
Becky Whetstone, whose son, Lance Cpl. Benjamin Whetstone Schmidt, was killed Oct. 6 in Afghanistan, said she was grateful for the posthumous honor bestowed on her son by Clinton, a “family friend.”
